I'm keeping mine. I just picked up a 2020 JLU Altitude Sport this past Sunday. All decals and badges are black and look stealth against the Granite Crystal Metallic paint.
With black the “Wrangler Unlimited” is barely visible. You kinda have to look closely to see what it says. So actually will leave as is since it is not noticeable. But told the dealer to take off their stickers and remove both their plate surround advertising. Looks way better without.
Once I take delivery of my JLURD I plan on removing the Rubicon, Wrangler Unlimited & EcoDiesel stickers as well as the Jeep badge. It gets to keep the Trail Rated one... only because it has a recess, lol.
Sadly enough, even on the 2 door they slap a "Wrangler" sticker under the Jeep emblem. Mine was gone on the first day...
The odd thing (from a marketer's perspective) is the Jeep Wrangler JL is- to my knowledge- the only commercially made vehicle in the world that does NOT have any brand identification on the front (read an article about how Jeep considered the front end of the Wrangler to be so iconic that it didn't need any brand designation). So it's a little odd they would decide to place a silly little sticker on the side!
That said, I do kinda like the larger "Jeep" lettering they put on the back of the Gladiator. Since deleting my spare (after the pic above was taken), I've been kicking around the idea of trying to find the Mopar part number for that logo and find a place on the tailgate...
Wrangler Unlimited sticker delete was probably first mod as soon as I got back to the house from the dealer. Shortly thereafter followed by black Plastidip of JEEP and Trail Rated badge. So much better!
