I have a hard time believing it's already starting to corrode. Looks more like a defect in the paint.
It is indeed corrosion. Mine is just returning from a week in the body shop.

Well looks like my 2020 jt has the start of it, and no Stellantis has no plans on correcting the problem, just like the broken door weld clicks. Really disappointing.

Hi ppfingsten,

I sincerely regret to hear of the paint concern you are experiencing. If you are in need of an additional layer of assistance while you work with your dealer, we'd be happy to help. Our team is just a PM away.

Don't bother with Jeep No-Cares... They won't do anything to help.

I am in the middle of a battle to get mine fixed. First the local dealer refused to submit the photos and body shop bids that they instructed me to get. I contacted Jeep Cares twice on this matter and both times was told there was nothing for them to help with since the dealer hadn't submitted the claim.

Second, after more than 4 months trying to get the dealer to submit my warranty claim, they have supposedly submitted it and it was supposedly approved, by Chrysler, for warranty coverage; However, now the dealer is refusing to contract for the work to be done - they told me that Chrysler has been approving these claims but, after the work is done, they are paying, on average, less than half of the cost that the dealer incurred in contracting out the work. The dealer has gotten stuck with paying the difference in the past and is unwilling to move forward until they receive some sort of commitment from Chrysler, via Chrysler's "Area Rep", that they will be reimbursed for the full cost of the repair work. Unfortunately, the Chrysler Area Rep seems to be ghosting the dealer's Warranty Claims Manager.

After the latest refusal to contract for the work to be done, I contacted Jeep No-Cares by phone and was told there was nothing they could do and suggested I go to another dealer. I live on an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and there is only one dealer - so this is not an option. I asked if there was anyone else I could speak with and was told no because dealers are the only entities that Chrysler's warranty department will deal with and that it is the dealer's problem to work out with Chrysler. I pointed out that it is now my problem because I'm the one who owns the Jeep that has a valid warranty claim that I have no way to get resolved other than a lawsuit. I was again told that there was nothing they could do to help and no-one else I could talk to. I asked to speak with a Jeep Cares manager and the phone rep refused to transfer me. I then asked if anyone could reach out to the Chrysler Area Rep to get him to respond to the dealer and was told there is no-one who can do this. I pointed out that someone must supervise this "Area Rep" and that person could surely contact the Area Rep and I was told that no such person exists. It must be nice to have a job where you have no supervisor and apparent complete authority to do whatever you want with no accountability and no consequences...

BRING ON THE CLASS-ACTION - I'D BE HAPPY TO BE A NAMED PLAINTIFF. HELL, MAYBE I'LL JUST FILE IT MYSELF SINCE I'M AN ATTORNEY AND THEN SEE IF THERE ARE ANY FIRMS INTERESTED IN TAKING OVER THE CASE!

I WILL NEVER, EVER, EVER PURCHASE ANOTHER CHRYSLER/JEEP/FIAT PRODUCT AND WILL SPREAD THE WORD TO EVERYONE I KNOW AND THROUGHOUT ANY SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM AVAILABLE...
