Hello all
I have a 2019 jlu sport.
My plan is to get some rubi take off springs and shocks, add on the RC 2.5” spacer lift and run 35’s with 17 inch wheels that have a -12 offset.
Should work fine right? Will be a daily driver, hardly ever off-road
Also what’s a decent price for rubi take offs. I’ve seen anywhere from $145 to 350 on eBay, or is the 245 on rubitrux the best way to go.

Rubi take offs vary but the price range you've seen is about right. Typically they're around the $250 so a bit more or less is to be expected.
A 2.5" spacer lift will work and you shouldn't have a problem clearing 35" tires on a daily driver. A -12 offset is pretty far, considering the stock rims are +44.5, but I know a lot of people like their tires to stick out. That set-up will, with the outer edge of your tires being roughly 3.5" further out than they are now (assuming a typical 35" tire size).

I just sold mine for 200.00, I think that’s the average from what I’ve been seeing.

Yikes. That’s a little further out then I would like. So what spacing should I run on after market wheels to not stick out much but also not rub

This is -12 offset with rubi axles which are wider than the sport axle so yours wouldn’t be this much.

That looks nice. Are those 35’s.
So if I were to run a +12 to tuck it in a little more would I still be ok with rubbing?

Thanks... they’re 37/12.50/17s. I’m sorry, I’m not familiar with +12 rims. The -12 offset and 4.5” backspace works great for me, no rubbing.

Ok thanks. I would much rather have them stick out a little further and not rub then tuck them in and rub. Plus almost every wheel I look at that I like is -12. Lol

Here's a link to the calculator I used. → https://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp
You can use that to play with various widths, offsets, etc. to find the sweet spot for you.
For the sizes, I used 255/75/17 for the stock Sport tire, and on a 17x7.5 +44 rim.
For the 35" tire I used the typical 315/70/17 tire on a 17x9 -12 rim.

Many variable play into how far out they'll stick. So to get a more accurate idea of how far out they'll stick it's best to do the calculations with the rim/tire sizes you have in mind. If you used a +12 which you mentioned on the follow-up post, it would put the inboard side of the tire in the same location as the stock configuration. I would assume you wouldn't have any issues there, while reducing how far it sticks out.

One thing to consider with my last post is that, even though the tire sticks out almost 3.5" more than stock, it doesn't mean it will stick out 3.5" from the fender flare. The stock tire is tucked in a little. A more in depth calculator, which allows you to add values for clearance of your specific set-up is here → https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/
Another thing to consider is that not all tires are the same, even if they're the "same" size. For example company "A" may have a 35 x 12.5 that is actually 12.3" wide, while company "B" may have the same size that measures 12.6" wide. The same variables affect diameter. They do tend to at least be close, but there are some differences between tires so some may stick out a bit more than others.

The main thing to do is exactly what you're currently doing. Research, and then research some more.

In the mean time, here's the Sahara (same width axles as yours) with bigger tires on stock rims (+44 offset). At the front they stick out just a hair, but the back is basically flush with the fender flare. I opted for 285 wide because I didn't want the extra width of a 315 tire, and I also don't like my tires sticking out past the body of the vehicle. Mine are 34's but you can get 35's in the same width, though the options are pretty slim.

The biggest issue you're going to run into is your caster being too low and your axles being out of center. I know you aren't planning on doing much off road but these are on-road issues.

Jeeps lots of jeeps
I would like to know the same regarding the wheels and tires I'm about to purchase. Sorry but I'm still a noob in the off-road world and just want to make sure these wheels will fit in these tires.

Those wheels can't be mounted to your jeep. They are the incorrect bolt pattern.

You need 5-127

Unfortunately this doesnt help Sport owners because Rubis have wider fenders to accommodate the wider axles. I put Rubi fenders on my Sport and put my oem rubi wheels/tires back on and they looked sucked in. Id guesstimate the rubi fenders are about .5” wider.

Heres mine with rubi fenders and 315/70/17 on 17x9 -12mm
As mentioned, i have rubi fenders on in this pic which are probably about .5” wider than Sport fenders
