ARB now posted their Rear Bar on the website. Looks like it maintains the features from the plastic bar such as rear fogs and reverse sensors and adds recovery points.
Noting the relocation of the license plate.

I like US version more..
Does it because of rules here that rear bumper must have fog lights?

do you know whether it comes with relocation kits of plate?

Fog lights is my assumption. As can be seen from the photo, either fog lights or reflectors, but they seem to have too much depth to be reflectors. No text on this feature.

The plate relocation is an option kit.

Features:
  • Vehicle specific design to suit the JL Sport, Overland and Rubicon. Suits both 2 and 4 door models
  • Durable steel construction for maximum protection
  • Chassis brackets and jack points manufactured from 5mm steel
  • Dual Hi-Lift jacking points
  • Suits both Sport and Rubicon flares
  • Finished in Zinc rich primer and Integrit textured black powder coat. Integrit not suitable for colour coding
  • Optional Mud Flap kit
  • Optional Number Plate relocation kit
  • Compatible with ParkView® Rear Back-Up Camera
  • Compatible with Blind Spot and Cross-Path Detection
  • Compatible with ParkSense® Rear Park-Assist System
  • Recessed centre section to allow for larger diameter tyres to be fitted. Wheel on door bracket may be required
  • Fits with optional Mopar towbar PN 82215209 or Hayman Reese towbar PN T03292RW
When I next have an opportunity, will be inquiring further at an ARB store.

I have now ordered the rear bar with relocation plate and mudflap option kit. Took advantage of a store opening discount. Should see it in a week or two.

Yes, will fit it myself, so quote does not include installation. I removed the bar once before to install the Hayman Reese tow kit. It is not difficult.

Still pondering the front bar. It's quote was just over $2400. Probably won't do straight away as I am happy with the Rubi standard steel. May just add the bolt on Warn winch bar instead.

Also got a quote on a 2 inch lift at $2520

Was the quote including installation? or on top, that seems to be a great price if including install.

Also were reviewing ARB website for the lift kit, looks like the kit only include the Springs and Shocks, what about the sway bar links and Lower control arm relocation brackets? doesn't look like any of this are included..hmm.

Are you planning to go the route of ARB lift?

I called an ARB store and was told the kit came with Lower control arms. It was a bit vague though. I’d double check if you were looking at getting it. Parts were roughly $1800 plus fitting.

Yes, the quote included installation at $550 and wheel alignment at $110.
Part numbers listed, but no description;
3153, $269
60162 x 2, $360
LCAJLFR, $467
OMEJKPF10 x 2, $30
3161, $269
60161 x 2, $360
FK100, $75
OMEJLPR10 x 2, $30
WHAL IFS, $110
Fit, $550

This is a mid weight spec.

I was only obtaining a quote at this stage. Perhaps something down the track. Be wary of lifts greater than 2 inches as technically you will need an engineers certificate.

Mud Flaps? Certainly they are sold as an option, but I am thinking if I want to stay on the right side of the law, it will be a borderline requirement with standard height suspension. From the photos, the new bar appears to taper up higher at the sides than the standard. Will need to see what the height is when I fit the bar. They would definitely be necessary if I add the 2 inch lift later on. Here's why;

Australian Design Rule 42/04

14.1.2.1.2. the rear of the wheel guards must not terminate above a horizontal plane 150 mm above the axis of rotation of the wheels (as measured at the wheel centres) and furthermore the intersection of the edge of the wheel guard with this plane (point A, Figure 1) must lie outside the median longitudinal plane of the tyre;

upload_2020-3-15_17-1-22.png

Basically the lowest trailing part of the rear guard cannot be greater than 150mm (6in) above the centre of the axle. Mud flaps are an acceptable addition.

I will post pics of the rear bar when I fit it, which should be in approx two weeks.

I was looking at going the AEV road, jeepkonnection recommended it.

https://www.jeepkonection.com.au/aev-jl-dualsport-rt-2.5-lift-4-door
I ordered this exact kit from them in Jan i think.. apparently arriving sometime this month, i emailed them last night for an update but no word yet.. Seems like a good kit, ive seen it on one other JLUR so far and looks more than advertised in terms of lift height.

Just have to deal with the ugly shocks lol.. the bilstein shocks with the rubber shock boots..
