Anyone have these covers and can tell me if they hang a bit lower than the housing? I'm hearing they might have a lip overhang on the bottom.

I just got these, haven't installed yet. I can report back when I get them on this weekend. For the rear, I have the MetalClock rear diff skid so I'm not worried about any potential overhang there.

Sorry to pry, but did you get it installed?

Didn’t take a pic of the rear one yet (ARB packaged the wrong hardware so it’s got some makeshift bolts until the right ones come).

What are everyone's plans for the front drain bolt? Permanent thread locker? JB Weld? Something else?
TBH, hadn’t really given any thought. It’s in a vulnerable spot for sure but at some point I may just add a skid plate to double up on protection.

Both front and rear have drain plugs. I'm considering a skid for the front.. just haven't decided which one.

That rear MC fits nice and tight around it.. perfect!

For the front and rear I went with MC diff covers. While the rear MC skid plates will work with the ARB covers, the front skid only works with MC’s cover as it bolts to the front diff cover.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I don't care for any of the differential skid plates currently on sale. The Rancho sticks out too far & looks like a giant shovel. Also I would still want a stronger differential cover with the Rancho anyway. The Metalcloak rear looks like a diaper (although, it does look better painted black). The Metalcloack front is my favorite, but I wish it extended back to the pinion, and was available for the rear in the same style. All add weight and reduce clearance.

The ARB covers actually increase clearance, and the included drain plug allows me to abandon the OEM front axle's drain plug.

Those who have swapped the covers. Did you re-use the factory cover gasket?
