Apple CarPlaying with my Jeep

Lets say I drive home while listening to a nice tune using Apple CarPlay. I get home, shut my Jeep off, go into my house and I suddenly realize I forgot that I left my phone plugged in (Apple CarPlay) inside the Jeep. When I return to my Jeep and re-open any door, (tailgate as well) the last song I was listening to on CarPlay plays over the speakers for a few seconds then goes to pause. Is this normal? I have recently upgraded my 5" to the 7" uconnect. Has anyone else experience this? If so is there anyway to get the radio to not do it through an app or something? It's kinda annoying especially when I leave the volume up.
