Apple CarPlay Sound Quality

I just purchased a 2019 Sport JL . I was wondering if anyone else has a similar issue with Apple CarPlay. Music quality is not good sounds flat, no bass and volume go in an out. I found forums, other users, complaining about bad sound quality of CarPlay. The issue is only with Carplay/USB, bluetooth sound loud and clear. I tried using another lighting cable and doing a factory reset to my iPhone to no avail.

This is common across all manufacturers with Carplay receivers. . It has to be fixed on the Apple side since it is not using the equalizer settings on your device.

I don't notice any quality degradation with apple carplay on mine. I have the alpine upgrade version though.

I wouldn't want phone EQ settings to affect the carplay sound. You'd be equalizing twice. Wouldn't make sense.

I have the upgraded alpine as well and there is no issues. Sound quality from USB and bluetooth are the same.

I use CarPlay a lot and don’t have the upgraded sound system. I haven’t had those sound issues except the random CarPlay disconnect.

I'm confused with step #3. Find the vehicle on the iPhone. In order to detect Carplay, Basically, I just have unpair and Pair Carplay?

DJGrooveD...amazing!! Just did this and although the phone connected instantly even though I opted to forget it, The sound came out like you said 1000Xs better ...could it be the bluetooth interferes?
