My Uconnect when I have my Iphone plugged in will randomly disconnect. If I disconnect the cord from my phone and reconnect Car Play comes back for 3 to 4 minutes then drops again. I have tried the different USB ports in the Jeep and get the same result. I and the dealer have tried different cords and have also replaced the Uconnect Radio and the problem persists. Anyone had this issue? Looking for some trouble shooting advice if you have. Thanks

Switch the port in the dash and see if that fixes it. I haven't had any issues with my center console port but there are a lot of people that have.

I had the same issue as most folks. I have better luck with the center console than the dash, but it still disconnected randomly, which really sucks! Tried both USB-A and USB-C cables, in the dash and console, they all disconnected at various points.

The solution for me made no sense at the time, but it really works: use a USB-A to USB-C adapter. I had these cheapo adapters in the house already, and using one in the center console along with an Apple USB-C cable did the trick.

IDK why it works, I assume it's something about the translation from the port to the adapter just dumbs it down a bit? Or changes the voltage slightly? Either way, we now drive even multi-hour roadtrips without a single disconnect. Working on two different iPhones (a 14 Pro and a 12 Pro).

I also haven't tried the adapter with a 3rd party cable, just an Apple official one -- which sucks because they're expensive, but hey if the disconnects stop, it's worth it for me.

Thanks I will give it a try.

2024 Jeep Wrangler Sport S and we keep having issues with wireless Apple Carplay staying connected? With wireless Apple carplay can we use a wired connection to the phone and eliminate the hassle of an unreliable wireless. We both have Iphone version 8's. Is that too old to be effective? Very aggravating!

They’ve done studies you know. Sixty percent of the time it works every time.

I wanted to close this issue. I took the Jeep to my local dealership. They troubleshot the problem. It turned out to be the center console plug had a loose connection in the wiring harness connector the the USB plug

Thanks. It is my wifes new Jeep. So we are just not gonna use wireless Apple carplay and go back to the wired connection. That should be more reliable. We use the cord to charge phone anyway.
