I had been searching for a quick sway bar disconnect solution for my stock 2021 JLUS Willys. The stock links are only about 5.5" in length. So it did not appear that the other commercially available quick disconnect products would have been suitable. JKS makes some that are for unlifted stock height, but their install required permanently cutting a metal tab on the axel.

Fortunately, Apex seems to have a fairly new product in the market. I bought their 8" stroke model which can be configured to a 6.5" length link size or more.

I installed autolynx on my Jeep this past weekend. I did a little bit of flexing as well. I haven't yet done day long off-roading with these yet.

Here are some pictures. On the whole, I am super impressed with the product. Seems really well built. Install was straightforward. Does exactly what it claims to do. Connecting/Disconnecting is just a simple turn of a knob.

Sway bar connected ... aka autolynx in locked position.

About 6" - 7" stroke extension. Perhaps another inch to go.

Compression at the other tire. Almost at the bump stops.

That is awesome.

I received mine today and it was better than Christmas after looking for and hoping for a simple solution for so long. I’m not sure when I’ll get them on because I’m doing a spacer lift before this.

They look well built. Did you use a crow foot on a torque wrench to get that nut on the adjustable part to 20 ft lbs?

I’m going to link my thread in here too for sharing feedback for those searching.

Just a regular wrench. I did not torque it to spec. Will do when I get a chance.

This would be awesome if they do the job. It would be exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the initial review. It will be cool to see how they do in the future.

thats really cool but expensive! definitely an innovative product.
takes me 30 seconds using my $60 electric ratchet so ill just stick with that lol. #poorsportowner
I was definitely open to that BUT...wasn’t thrilled with the idea of crawling around or bending down in the mud and snow and having to get back in the Jeep.

It’s not the cheapest solution, for sure, but for $375 shipped it sure looks good against the 800-$1200 options. Then there’s possible air supply being needed or wiring which is more $. I equate the knob on top of the Autolynx to manual locking hubs. Yeah, you have to leave the comfort of the interior but it’s easy.

For my use case, I would be stepping out to air down anyway. So really not an inconvenience at all.

assuming they're stock, how much slack do you have left in your brake (and ABS) lines at full droop?

Interesting for sure. Looks like a big benefit would be eliminating the rattle inherent with the quick disconnect pins and easy reconnection process. I know the few times I've done the manual disconnect on the stock links with a wrench it was a pain to get them back on solo.

One concern would be the sliding part getting jammed with mud/dust/snow/ice/gunk. Possibly needs a boot.

very interesting; perfect picture, thanks.

i have to wonder if there’s going to be enough line on my Mopar 2” diesel lift, since it brought the front up over 4”!

Hope this picture helps. I thought it looked just fine.

Not sure if anyone is aware, but this is the sales section for trying to sell parts. Not that I care. Just a FYI.

I replied to this post when it was in General Discussion, so a mod must have thought this was a better spot...
