Anyone tried removing driver and passenger freedom tops together as one unit?

I need to fold down the windshield just enough to run a cable to a switch. But I have an Exposed Racks crossbar attached to the freedom panels. Do you think I can remove both the driver and passenger freedom tops together, keeping the crossbar intact? I just need to slide everything back enough to fold down the windshield. I could remove the crossbar, but I'd rather not if possible.

Sure. Really just two panels for ease of removal, but no reason you can't just remove it as one unit. That said, I am not sure you need to remove it to drop the glass. 4 bolts hold the glass up, I can't think of any interference with the freedom tops... if anything, you may just need to release the metal clasps.

Thanks Roger, I was wondering if the windshield could be lowered without removing the tops, but every video I've seen starts with taking off the tops.

Looks like the freedom tops sit on top of the windshield seal.
