This is what I pull with my 2018 Wrangler.

A 2016 Riverside 177SE.

I think the hitch weight is around 380 lbs, dry weight is about 2500 and I’ve never had problems towing it outside of dealing with Californian drivers while going down PCH.

Oh and I can’t drive at night due the trailer pulling down the rear of the Jeep which causes it to blind people.

I don’t know if an “air lift” would help this or not.

Outside of that one issue I’ve towed my camper from Las Vegas to Daytona Beach and haven’t had any temperature or mechanical issues.

you might invest in a weight distribution hitch. It will level out your Jeep so you don’t have the front end pointed up problem. Makes towing a lot nicer and less worrisome. Plus at 380 tongue weight a WD will alleviate some of that by shifting the weight.

Here is mine. Airstream Bambi 16RB with a Blue Ox weight distribution hitch. GVWR of 3500# we tow it at around 3100#. Towed it from Phoenix to San Diego up a few 6% grades with no issues. Average 17.9 mpg on flat roads. Tows beautifully!

I used a hybrid version from two suppliers. I loved the extension mirror holder but the mirror vibrated too much and needed constant adjustments. I removed the mirrors and attached the 5 inch convex mirrors. Had to raise the mirror with a short piece of aluminum tubing. Finally, I put a ss screw in the opening between the aluminum bar extension and the metal holder. No vibrations, no adjustments needed! I also wrapped the nylon webbing with a few zip ties to eliminate the vibrations from wind at highway speeds. Perfect combo!

We tow an old early 60s Hi-Lo. It's about 1500 pounds, and the Jeep does really well with the 2.0 turbo. Very happy and impressed with it, even though the trailer is fairly light.

This is what I tow.....base trailer weight was 980 lbs....after all my add on’s and gear I’m weighing in at 1880 lbs. Trailer has electric brakes, and tows like a dream behind the JL.....I still get into 8th on the highway, and I’m getting around 17-18 mpg on level road.

Beautiful! Where did you find the base trailer? Or did you build it yourself?

Just picked this up this weekend. 350 mile trip home went pretty well. I need to regear to offset my 37’s but otherwise pulled great.

nice- is that a 2.5 or 3.5 lift? I was wondering if re-gearing was necessary with the lifted Rubi on 37’s if planning to tow. I have a stock Rubi on 35’s, and am towing an 1,800 lb (Dry) camper.

How does your jeep tow with the 35s? We have a stock rubi and tow ~1500lb trailer but we are thinking about going to 35's pretty soon.
