Ya, it's a Rookwood 19FD Geo-Pro. Very happy so far, amazing construction, innovative ideas and comes fully equipped, fairly priced too. It's a great rig for a Wrangler IMO.

It took 8 week to take delivery after placing our order though...
Thanks! That’ the same model we have been looking at and have been wondering if it might too much for the v6. Maybe we will just go for it, I found a couple in stock

I know most will say do not do this, but I’m gonna ask anyway. I found this locally. Thoughts? I know the dry weight is over 3500, that’s my only worry. My 20 sport ecodiesel would be pulling it.

I tow a RPod that weighs 3,200 lbs with the battery and propane. We pack light but I’ll weigh it once loaded and expect it to be around 3,500 lbs. The Jeep does great towing it but I wouldn’t want to have a dry weight over 3,500 lbs.

Gotcha thanks. What model Rpod do you have? What is the hitch weight? I’m finding some campers in the 3500 range but the hitch weights are 400+.

It‘s over the 350 lb tongue weight but not by much. I realize that can’t be changed but I did install a Curt hitch that supports 450 lbs with a weight distribution hitch.

I pulled a 2700# dry weight Rpod all over the country with my 2020 JLURD. It pulled it no problem. The engine had plenty of extra performance, but the cooling system is a pain in the ass. That said, I sold the Rpod and bought a Winnebago Hike, dry weight 3200#, because I was very comfortable pulling the lighter trailer with the Jeep. I do use an anti-sway/weight distribution hitch which makes it feel like the trailer is part of the Jeep.

171DB. Really wanted a real bathroom and a bed that doesn’t convert to a dinette. Loved my RPod other than that. Then I saw the Hike and fell in love LOL

Here Is our set up e-pro 15tb. 2500 dry about 3000 loaded. Pulls super easy and comfortable to drive. The v6 gasser does fine at 11.5 mpg. I’m still running stock gears and 35s. 37s and a re-gear are next. With this setup I can tow my trailer anywhere in the country and setup camp and run trails. With the diesel you wouldn’t know it’s back there till you looked in the mirror.

I am waiting for summer to see how the temps will be.
How did a heavier trailer help your temps?

Coolant temp on this rig is essentially a pita. The diesel pulls like a beast but as soon as it starts to fuel up to start pulling, the temp starts to rise as well.
With ambient from 30f to 60f, it's not a problem. It stays below a reasonable (according to Mopar) 230f. Ambient above that, watch it closely.
I believe it's a design element (flaw). I reported it to Mopar and they sent me the temp parameters. Essentially it de-fuels at around 240f so it won't blow up... gotta be glad for that...grrrrr.

Prior to purchasing my camper I installed the Superchips tune and used the tow tune when hauling it back. I occasionally saw temps near 220 but then the electric fan quickly brought it back down to 208. I’m guessing they also changed the fan settings to help when towing. I’m hoping that I don‘t have any problems this summer. We live in NW Florida too. I did swap the grill inserts for the Gladiator ones and noticed they dropped the temps a couple degrees but also quickly when you let off the throttle.
