Anyone thought about sliding side windows for the hardtop?

Hello fellow Jeepers,

As stated above, has anyone thought about this? I have the hardtop but am currently running with the softtop so my dog can have fresh air and stick her head out and enjoy - I do have side cargo nets and she is tried in.

I have googled a few places and am waiting for replies. As I live in Sydney, Australia: I can't really go with anything from overseas.

I know there was an American company that did it for the JK. I wouldn't thing it was that hard if you knew what you were doing.

I wanted to explore getting a slider for my JL 2dr hardtop for better air flow when opening up the front windows/top.
I contacted these guys who did it for the JK

but never heard back. I wrote their no response off as due to the pandemic.

Thanks for the update guys. Yep as usual not much happening in OZ.

I think it is not worth the shipping to deal with overseas or even interstate. I am just looking with in NSW.

I have a few inquiries out for companies in NSW. I will just wait and see. fingers crossed.

My thinking was for canopy or custom hot rod places.

Only if you are not moving and as I want them mainly for my dog when driving I decided to pass on lifted windows and just try for sliding ones. They would be alright on an overland traveler though.

Look on the JK Forum, Jeff Scherb did a complete DIY writeup on making a hard top modular, the JK top procedure would work for the JL as a guide. Retrofit Off Road is working on it, just way behind due to Covid
