My jk went 13 years with no door bolts. But the doors were harder to get off over time with all the salt and debris getting kicked up. By the last year I had to use a jack to loosen the door. With my JL off during the summer but on during the winter. Don't want to have to deal with that again.
MY current is a 2012 and I use Anti-Sieze to eliminate this issue. Will probably do the same when the new one arrives.

I pretty much had mine off all summer. Kind of a pain to keep putting them in and out to take the doors off all the time. Reinstalled for winter just so salt doesn't get up in there
Same. No rhyme or reason why I put them back, other than I was putting the hardtop bolts in anyways and figured while I was at it I’d put the door bolts in. I leave them off all summer to facilitate doors off quickly.

The only thing I can think of is the front tires throw mud up right on the hinges (ask me how I know) and will get into the hinge if the lower nuts are left out.
I installed some threaded pins to replace the bolts. Make it easy to lift the doors on and off the hinges. My door bolts are permanently stored in the back of the Jeep.

pulled them out 2nd day after purchase in may 2019 and haven't looked back. No issues at all, even through Colorado winters. last fall I tried screwing them in just to make sure everything's good, it was so I pulled them back off immediately.

Anyone take the T50 bolts out of the door hinge and leave them out? I had one snap and was suggested to take them out and leave them out. Your guys' thoughts!!

Still waiting for my JL, but I took them off my JK and left them off for 6.5 years and never had a problem.

I bought a lot of stuff for my JL Wrangler before I even had a JL Wrangler, and a set of those "JL door bolt hinge guide liner" was in that pile. You can find them on eBay or Amazon:

Did the same thing when I first removed my doors. Been 2 years now with no issues.

Wonder what would happen in a collision with those bolts removed but the doors on?

Mine have been out since the first time I removed the doors. I put grease on the hinge pins a few times a year when I have the doors off.
