Anyone see this before?

I was under my jeep changing my oil and noticed this, has anyone else ever seen this before? Do you think it’s something as simple as swapping out those clamps with adjustable hose clamps? It looks to be the hose going to the Thermostat housing.

Clean it off really good and replace those clamps with some real ones. Should be good to go.

If it’s under warranty, I would leave it and have the dealer inspect it. Is it leaking?

It IS definitely a coolant leak...(that is dried residual coolant ).... if it's under warranty take it in... if not, it is not an easy repair due to location etc.. also plastic parts get brittle, be careful..

Unfortunately this item is not cover under my warranty and the dealership quoted me $436. I’m half tempted to replace the part myself as the part is only $40. Seem like it’s just gunna be a pain in the ass because I’ll have to remove some things just to replace it.

Should be a fairly easy fix at home. Don’t see any need for a trip to the dealer other than to buy OEM coolant if you want it.

That’s what I was thinking. Fortunately for me I have two big jugs of it already from all the coolant issues I was having 6 months ago when I had the water pump and Thermostat housing replaced under warranty.
