Well I'm happy to report that they roll smooth as silk down the highway! Equally as smooth as the KO2. Equally as quiet too! Amazing for such an aggressive tire. Only rubbing I have on the road is at the air dam below the fog lights. Will likely have to do some trimming before hitting the trails.

10.5" tread width
12" tire width
34.13" height

Looks great but remove the air dam! It'll look that much better!

After driving on these for a few days, I've noticed that they seem to handle better than the KO2s. Not in terms of vibration/balancing but just in terms of overall ride. There was a lot of roll and yawl in the Jeep, especially on rural roads. Imperfections in the road would snap your head side to side. It felt like being on an airplane in moderate turbulence. That seems to be much less noticeable now. I didn't expect that. If anything I figured these Patagonia M/Ts would reduce the ride quality and be more stiff and harsh, but in actuality they are better and more comfortable with less head snapping on dips and ruts. Very interesting.

Are they C rated?

The C rated 38s were very smooth and cushy on the road. I'm currently on the D rated 40s. They were initially extremely harsh. Turns out DT had one tire at 40 PSI and the others between 29-30.

I reduced pressure to 28 and it got better, but still harsh. I'm now down to 26 PSI and it has improved. I may go 24.

Some of the issue could also be the dual rate springs. Most jeepers praise dual rate/multi rate springs. In my experience, they are harsh and linear is the way to go.

Maybe after I wear out the KO2's...

Sounds like the next tires will be the Patagonias.

Make certain to post once you have them on. This may shed some light on the tire verse spring debate I have going on with myself lol.

Here's my 295/70/17s on 8.5 +10 ATX Ravine wheels, ride is just fine w/ them on, just a bit more hum vs. the OEM Michelin A/S tires and firmer, but w/ the stock suspension ride is great IMO.

I probably just overlooked the post(s) but has anybody replaced their stock 285/70R17 Ko2's with the same size in the Milestar Patagonia in the same size?

Is the Patagonia available even in the size 285/70R17 ?

Edited tire size after I posted and realized I typoed the tire size.

The Patagonia is not available in 285/75R17, but they are in our stock size. I have plans to get the Patagonia once I wear out this set of KO2's even though they are about 11lbs heavier.

Stock is 285/70r17 not 285/75r17. I doubt any Rubicons have switched for the same size being that the KO2s haven't worn out. Maybe on a Sport or Sahara for upgrading size.
