I ended up give the 38s a shot. I got a crazy good deal from Discount tire. I mounted them on some 17x9 KMC Machetes beadlocks. As I have always done with my name brand tires in the past, I just mounted them without balancing. I was honestly expected them to shake and vibrate and to my surprise they are smooth as butter, even at 90 mph. The next thing was to hit some snow and see what they were all about. At around 7000 ft the snow started getting around 3’ deep. The tires performed amazing with 2-3 pounds of pressure. In one of my photos you will notice I’m waiting one the rest of my group. I want to be able to give a true “I bought them with my money” review. We ran over 30 miles in the snow at 2-3 pounds of air without any issues. They cleaned so well as the pictures show compared to others in the photo. I’m not saying they are better but then the name brands, I’m just saying they so far are super smooth, super quiet, and have some great traction in the snow. There’s a video of me creeping through a deep snowdrift while pushing snow and you can watch the tire bit the snow. (Just realized I can post that video) Oh and I never got stuck this trip. Must be the JL not the tires.

What lift are you running? Are 38's rubbing? How's the power with 38's with the weight and tie size? I would love to get that setup for my 18 rubicon with mopar lift adding adjustable track bars.

I'll be honest, with Milestar you get what you pay for.....to include the quality of information on their website. I had the 37's for a while and they were decent. But replaced them in less than a years time. Would've been money ahead to just by more expensive but better tires in the first place. But my son really wanted them for his 2018 and paid 75% of it himself.

The only thing I really liked about them was their weight. Much lighter than others. I replaced them with the Nitto Trail Grapplers and holy hell! Can definitely tell the Nitto's are much heavier. But they also have been wearing better and much better traction when the trail, rocks, etc. are wet or have mud.

they do post weights, click here, scroll down to tire sizes, then click on that orange "Show full specifications" and you'll see the weights listed

I know im late to the conversation but I have 37's on my eco diesel JLU and I freaking love them, a lot. Im not saying they are the best tire ever, but they are great, the price is wonderful, they are crazy quiet, and the traction is awesome in my opinion. not the best but great!

Yeah.. these Milestar Patagonias seem to be a love it / hate it kind of thing... I am still debating.. the price is definitely the most attractive parameter

Mine have been ok, pretty much decent in most situations but not great in any of them. I do like the quiet ride for a more aggressive tread block but don't like the cupped tread design. Also they are quite slick in the rain, but for grip on dry rock they do well. If you plan to do a lot of dry four wheeling in warmer temps the Patagonia will work well. I'll be going with a 3 peak snow rated AT next round as I really need a tire I feel confident with in freezing temps too.

The Mickey Thompson Baja Boss ATs that are coming to the market in April are going to be one to watch, unless something else that checks as many boxes comes around they will be my next set.

I find that most of the people who complain about tread wear live out in the western U.S. Must be really rough roads out there. I've personally seen these tires go 45k on a 7,500 lb. diesel pickup. I've had them in 34" and 35" flavors on my own trucks. They always wear perfectly, balance like a dream, and provide good traction. The fact that the price is 35% lower than other brands just shows you how much those other brands mark up their products.

I picked up 5each 315/70/17 for $165each. That was a good enough deal to try them. Im usually a tire brand snob. Had them on about 900 miles. Running at 30psi. I was really surprised that i didn't have to balance them. They are quieter than expected too. No experience offroad yet

The Milestar Patagonias are not the normal square tread like many other tires found on Jeeps. They are rounded side to side, and aren't designed to have a full width contact patch at street pressure. I have mine set to the Milestar recommended 35psi.
