I scored one super cheap, but now I need to figure out which winch plate I need. I dont know if I need to get a JK steel bumper winch plate, or if I need to get a JL steel bumper winch plate. I am hoping someone that has done the JK steel bumper could help.

Hmmm...that’s a tricky one.

I read that you can force a JK bumper onto a JL with some modifications.

FWIW, the Mopar winch plate on my JL fits between the frame rails super tight. There really is no play at all.

Good luck.

Thanks, I know there are some on here that have it completed.
I have a JK bumper on my JT, and there was no modification or force needed. Bolted up seamlessly.

If the bumper fits right in, then chances are the winch plate will fit as well.

The only question would be if the holes to bolt down the winch plate align with the holes in the frame.
