Anyone running a Rubicon Express 2.5” lift kit with twin tube shocks? I have JLU Sport with 33s. I’m adding a stubby bumper w/winch, front skid plate and rock sliders. Don’t ever plan on going bigger than 35s. Also plan on some medium off roading on occasion but will be a DD. 4WP suggested the Rubicon Express 2.5” to give me the modest lift I want and to accommodate the added weight of the mods. I like the price point of the Rubi Express but will take any suggestions from anyone for options or suggestions.

I'm interested in it also. I looked on the website, and they don't show a twin tube for the JL Wrangler. Just a Monotube that you can buy after the fact.

I have the 2.5” RE but didn’t get their shocks. My Jeep shop suggested JKS shocks to start. The ride is good. I have since ordered Falcon 3.3’s and they will be installed in a week or so.

Looks great! I ended up ordering the Rubicon Express 2.5” lift after talking to a couple of friends who were satisfied with theirs. I did go ahead and get the RE twin tube shocks for now. I’ll post pics after my install.

I went ahead and ordered a RE 2.5” lift with RE twin tube shocks (pictured) today since this is for my wife’s JL and she wanted a smoother ride on the road. If we don’t like the RE twin tubes then I’ll probably replace with Fox 2.0 shocks.

So, does anyone know if you need trackbars with this kit? Only reason I ask, is because a lot of people say when you do a 2.5" lift the axles move. Am i wrong in asking. Just want the geometry of my Rubicon to be the same as it was stock.

When we had the 2" Spacer kit on our company JL, it did not need the trackbar after installing. We had no issues with death wobble.

As Soon as we installed the 3.5", we did a little test down the street and it was DEFINTELY needed. I would say anything above 2.5" needs it

@Shooky @GraniteRubiGA My shop is recommending the RE JL7141 with the RE 1674 track bar with the JKS shocks, similar to your builds. How, does RE work for you? It looks like the control arms might be an additional add on to the JL7141 looking into if the caster are off. So, much information and marketing just trying to get real world experience vs what a shop might be compensated for selling.

I just picked up a RE 3.5 lift (JL7102) for my JLU Sport - Ordered with Fox shocks, Fuel Wheels and KO2's.. I'll have to post a pic when it's done. BTW mine came with an adjustable track bar. Lower control arm is fixed.

Why would you want to go down to a twin tube shock from the stock Rubicon mono tube shock with dynamic rebound stop? Even a stock extension in this case would be a better choice. People always shit on stock parts but this is one instance where stock doesn’t necessarily means bad, or aftermarket doesn’t mean it’s good. We can only speculate who makes them but I’ve heard from Jeep engineers who designed them say they are as good as any shocks on the market.
