I am trying to run a power wire for an amp through the fire wall on the passenger side. I have seen that there is a rubber cap behind it that has a spot made to run a power wire like this. I have the tray all unscrewed and loos and can move it up and back and it feels loose but for the life of me I cannot get it out. Has anyone else done this yet on the diesel?

After getting the fender off and looking over everything, it appears that the big wire bundle in the hard case right above the battery tray by the fender is just in the way.

There's a ton of stuff to unplug and a dozen or more of those Christmas tree wire loom holders that are impossible to pull without breaking them.

But with the fender off I was able to get to the main wiring grommet and get my wire through. It's a double wall grommet with double wall firewall. So it helped to cut from both sides.

I certainly didn't see any rubber cap like you do in the gas version.

Regardless, I have gotten my wire through.
