I love the look of a black jeep, but I didn't get one for two reasons. I only wash my jeep every 4-6 weeks, and I know I would be OCD about any imperfection the caked on dirt would create (as soon as I knew it was there, my eyes would be constantly drawn to it). Second, it gets hot as balls in Atlanta in the summer....I didn't want a color that absorbed any more heat.

I owned a black car for over 10 years and loved it....when clean. As others mentioned, they show dirt / swirl marks / scratches / water marks very easily and it's just not appealing to the eye when you are near it and can see the imperfections that go well hidden in other colors.

As for my JL, i love red (my other car is also red) so there was only 1 color i was going to get the Jeep in.....red. The only current JL color i would not get is Bikini. It is pretty ugly and don't think it will age well.

As mentioned - black looks great all clean. Got a deal on used one before mods. Prefer Granite but there is a ton of them on the road.

I've been debating between Sting Gray and Black for my 2021 Wrangler. But I've decided its going to be black. I will just invest in PPF and ceramic coating to keep it looking good.

I chose black as well because it looks both much cleaner and more sophisticated on the inside. The paint color is very apparent from the inside exposed metal. Overall, you can not beat black JLUR with the red accents... :)

I have owned one black car, a 2000 Pontiac GTP and that was my last. I am way too OCD for a car with that high maintenance.

I went with Red. I really like the look of black, but I owned a black truck, years ago. Every swirl, scratch, and speck of dust is easily seen. Plus, in the Forested area of Houston, that I live in, the trees are dumping pollen, all the time, it is also hot and humid around here.
But, when clean, they sure look nice, for a few hours, until they get dusty again.

I'm definitely on the fence about having a black jeep. Though it dirties up good. And it does wash up good. The swirl scratches I have to look at or trail runs. Even with claying and waxing the still seem to stick around.

I haven't had a black Jeep but had a black Miata and it was gorgeous when clean but it was never, ever clean. I'd never consider owning a black Jeep based on the size and its expected usage - it would never be clean, full of swirls and scratches, and it would drive me crazy.

Plus, I think bright colors on Jeeps are the best looking ones - which is why I have a yellow one.

You hit the nail on the head. Nothing look better than a black vehicle when it's clean. Now try and keep it that way. I've owned 5 black cars and I'm now done with them. They tend to show every scratch, nick and swirl imaginable and start to look dirty soon after you start driving it.

If you love the look of a black vehicle and don't mind putting the work into keeping it look it's best then go for it. As for me, I'm done... LOVING my '19 Mojito! JLUR!
