Hey guys, Im thinking of keeping my rubicon wheels and tires and adding spacers. I want the wheels to stick out a little and go for that stocky stance look. has anyone used spacers yet? if so. what size and please post a pic or 2!!!!

It's ok. I want to do the same thing and am curious what others say, but I guess nothing...

If I were you, I would contact Spidertrax directly and ask about fitment on a JL. If they don't know I would contact a reputable 4x4 shop about it. I live near Northridge 4x4 and they are really good at answering my questions. Tire stores will tell you spacers are evil.

2” bora spacers! Love them. Less expensive than one wheel with back spacing.

JL?
I have Bora 1.5” spacers works fine. I ran it stock for a while I was waiting for the tires to come in.

JL?
Did adding wheel spacers affect the steering feel at all since it widens the stance?
Nothing appreciable. And, nothing negative.

If you’re happy with your ride now, you’ll be happy with spacers. If you’re looking to turn your Wrangler into a Range Rover, it will not.

Did the feel of the ride change at all?
It drives and looks great always had luck with spidertrax. actually think it handles better by widening out the track feels more stable. But it could be just in my head. All in all it was a great mod , I like the look of the stock wheels and tires and it really made stance look different. Can post some photos soon

I'm also considering wheel spacers. Once I run the life out of my factory 33's I'll upgrade to 35's on my upgraded Rubi wheels and kick them out with some 1.5" spacers. I think 35" tires no lift on factory rims with 1.5" spacers will be a nice stance, especially on my 2 door. If Rugged Ridge comes out with they're fender kit I may add those as well. I'm want to mod up a little bit but maintain that factory look, "just a little beefier".

Oh you already know I added spacers! I have to tell you that I didn't think I ever had a steering problem. Still don't believe it was a 'problem.' Mine has already steered great, but dang after adding the 1.75" spacers it steers like a friggin' arrow! Very noticeable.
