I was taking the jack out of the cargo area and I found this metal clip that can be squeezed. Anyone know what it is and where it goes?

Maybe take a look around that area. Maybe just fell in there at the factory. Or tour Jeep came with extra pieces. Nice!

Looks like a dash clip. The upper dashboard panel uses a funky style metal clip that looks like that. It's been a while since I've seen it, but that's my best guess. They're a bear to replace. Hopefully that's just an extra one.

I had an extra one of those when I dismantled my front bumper. It looks like Jeep has an exceedingly generous spring clip guy.
