The drivers seat in my JLUR has the lever to pump/raise and lowers on its own after a couple days. Is there a way to prevent this ?

You are probably hitting it on the way out. That's what happens to me.

I had that problem in my JK. Thought it was going down by itself. After a while I found that after lifting, I was pressing the lever everything I climbed out. I changed the orientation of the lever and all was well. Haven't experienced it on the JL yet.

just remove the lever once you set the height.

Get in pump up seat. Standard proceedure for me. Drops almost a 1/2 pump daily. Wish it would just stay where you set it but they don't.

Mine has only moved on days where it got very much colder than the days before. Last time it did it the high was 80 one day and 37 the next.

I would imagine that if you are in a place with significant elevation changes it will happen too. Say you live at 9,000', but work is at 5,000'

To all those who are having an issue with your seat lowering, set it to the height you like and remove the lever for a week or so. If it doesn't continue dropping "on its own", you'll then know that you were tapping it everytime you slid out. This question gets asked periodically over the last few years. It always stems from hitting the lever upon exit.

Cheers, handle bumpers! 😆
