Oh boy... here we go... a few reasons, Jeep height, more tire clearance, larger space between rock rail and body, why not... lol

Well, lol, my third JEEP, not a rookie...
I’m 6’6” and taller than my 2020 JEEP RUBICON UNLIMITED REFON EDITION, and it drives me nuts that I’m taller than my JEEP!!! I installed a 4” suspension lift and a three inch body lift and never had any problems!!! no body roll, long bolts don’t matter, all tight!!! The biggest body lift for jlu is 1.25??? And not hard to install...

I started with 35's and the 2" Mopar Lift Kit and then jumped to 37's with 1.5" coil spacers because the lift kit was less than a year old and didn't want to replace kits altogether

I have since jumped to 38's and I'm using ACOS adjustable coil spacers

Coil spring clamps will save a ton of time but I had my mechanic do the work for warranty reasons

Looking at the picture ( Jeep not avatar) does the spring straighten up when loaded?

For the sake of trying to answer a part of your question I would imagine the body lift would install fairly easy but you may run into a problem with the body mount bolts snapping off when trying to remove them. Many people on here have had problems with this when trying to install rock sliders that mount using the body mount bolts. It might be better overall and easier than dealing with broken bolts to do a coil spring spacer lift. It is a bit of work but I was able to install the Rough Country 2.5" spacer lift in my garage with basic tools, a basic hydraulic jack, and some possibly recalled harbor freight jack stands. Not many people on this forum bother with body lifts and they seem more like a holdover for older models.

with those spacers installed how much shock travel do you have left? I am guessing they are the Fox shocks that came with the Mopar lift?

Also have done a few of the body 1.25" body lifts and have never had any issues like i have heard people on hear talk about other people that have had issues... I also live in the north east where they dump more salt on the roads than the oceans have salt on them..... Always an easy install and around maybe an hour to complete.... have noticed larger body lifts that they do sell for the JLU but i am just not interested in them but i can understand why you would be.

Brand new 2020 jlu, bolts will be easy, just wondering if i could lift body without hoist to slide in spacers in driveway... like i did with the 98 TJ 3” body lift (I added that to a 4” suspension lift and never had any problems at all!!!) I should see the rocks that have accumulated between the body and side steps!!! THIRD JEEP... JEEPER FOR LIFE!!!)

Apx. 3" maybe ....I haven't bottomed out

I've had zero issues with either ones and I like the end result

It's actually a very common issue on these Jeeps (the bolts snapping) straight from the factory, but it sounds like you already have everything figured out!
Yup!!!
