So after I crossed the state line on my way to Moab, my compass stopped working in my JL. Started to work while I was there. Then when I crossed back in to CA, it stopped working again. Now it comes in and out, but the GPS has me stuck in another state. If I have the correct location on my phone, then plug the phone in to the USB, it changes my location to another state. Anyone else have this issue or know the solution?

I had the same problem, as did many others.

Here is a thread about it: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...-incorrect-location-with-iphone-carplay.6943/

and here is information from Jeep Cares on the TSB that should take care of it (it did for me):

Hello everyone,
We believe there is a TSB out right now that will remedy this concern with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto providing the incorrect GPS location.

NUMBER: 08-012-18 REV. D
GROUP: 08 - Electrical
SUBJECT:
Radio and Back-up Camera Enhancements
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves updating the radio software level to **1828.08**.

You dealer will be able to assist you further with this update. Please send our team a private message if you need any additional assistance.

Hope this solves it for you.

Hi RogueKJ,
I see a fellow forum member has already provided you with a TSB that may address your concern. If you would like any additional assistance while working with your dealer to address this, please send our team a private message!

I had same problem (JLUR with 7" non-nav). All of a sudden the GPS was showing wrong heading and wrong location when hooked up to iPhone. Usually it would find itself after 5-20 minutes (varied). Just wish I figured out it was the Jeep's GPS what was confused before resetting my phone... :headbang:

Took it to dealer and mentioned the TSB. They said that TSB didn't apply but re calibrated the GPS and it's worked fine since. Sometimes the most simple solution actually works.

My Wranglerā€™s GPS is not calibrated correctly. It currently shows my vehicle in another state. Iā€™m not sure when it went out of sync because I almost always use my iphoneā€™s mapping via carplay (unaffected by whatever is ailing the Jeepā€™s GPS) @JeepCares

Hi, it sounds like your Uconnect system needs to be updated. The files for software level 18.45.01 are currently available on driveUconnect.com. I would recommend checking if this update is available for your vehicle. If so, you will be able to download the software to a USB and update your vehicle at home. Please let me know if you have any questions.

The version of the software currently available (for my VIN) on driveUconnect is what my vehicle currently has loaded

Have you tried manually calibrating your navigation? This would require you to drive a figure 8 in an open parking lot five times. This should give your GPS the correct location of your vehicle. Let me know if this is successful.

I'm sorry to hear that. I would be happy to open a case for you to do this I will need you to make an appointment with your servicing dealership. Once that is done I can create your case.

Not only did it not work, I looked like a victim of a prank in the middle of the parking lot....
