Anyone have buyer's remorse for ordering the 3.6 instead of the 2.0 Turbo.

I went back and forth on engine type. I felt performance on paper was about the same but the feel was different than I am used to. I will miss the extra gas mileage of the 2.0, but not the windup hard working sound of the Turbo.

I think they are both really good motors. I don't think you should generate any regrets either way. I ordered the 3.6 because I wanted a manual transmission so I didn't have to choose. However, I think I would be just as happy with a 2.0.

I went back and forth for less than a second when I ordered my 2021 JLU80. Then I remembered that here in Florida the difference between regular and premium gas is 60cents more and that every thankful would be an extra $10, it was a no brainer. Yes it was an extra $1500 to begin with, but seems to hurt more when it is at the pump. With only one mile difference mpg, mileage was not a big deal. Also, the 3.6 is used in so many applications, its a long proven engine.

No regret here, at all. But I've driven the 2.0 and it is great, too. Get what you want and I think you'll be happy either way.

Simple is better than complex, and complex is better than complicated. (If I could have opted out of ESS, I surely would have.)

Also, I wanted a manual.

Also, turbos are very expensive to repair.

Dealer told me the 2.0 uses 87 octane.

I've wondered what the torque of the 2.0 would be like in comparison to the 3.6, as well as the fuel mileage.

The other fun thing that is happening right now is the BS oil filter housing issue on the earlier 3.6's also with an infinite backorder. Mine is currently ok in my 2015 but it's only a matter of time. I hope they updated the design for the newer generation, but I find that to be unlikely. Maybe I'm wrong.

87 seems to work fine in the 2.0, but it will probably have reduced power output.

Here you go. The links in my signature show how I got these graphs.

we both drove the 2.0 and the diesel.

own 2 3.6s, one auto, one manual-also easier to change oil in the 3.6. I believe the plugs go longer.

My 2.0 Rox. Love hearing that turbo... Love the extra couple of MPG's even more.
My Girlfriend's rig (2017) has the 3.6
Honestly it feels like the 2.0 has more get up off the block ?

I've had my 2dr 80th Edition with the 2.0L for two days now. First turbo I've owned and I have to say I'm favorably impressed with its lively response. I test drove a 2dr with the 3.6L and it seems to me the 2.0 has just a skosh more juice.
