Anyone else getting calls from Jeep RE: Steering TSB, Scam?

I have received several calls like the one attached. The call talks about my vehicle and previous history with Jeep Cares so seems legit. However two separate calls to Jeep claim it’s not them. Anyone else getting these?

Anyone from Jeep Cares want to comment?

Nope, I just get the standard "your vehicle warranty has expired" calls. Nothing Jeep specific.

For what it's worth, that's not the phone number Jeep Cares has given me as their call back # as I've been working with them on the steering TSB.

I received a phone call from someone who identified himself as an engineer with jeep in Detroit. he said jeep was proactively reviewing warranty records with history of steering complaints. he mentioned the TSB and assisted by forwarding parts to my dealership. a few days after I had the TSB completed he called back to see if I was happy with the result. whoever it was never asked for any personal information of any kind. there were a few other reports of similar contact in one of the many steering threads.​

when they call back ask them if they're looking to extend their factory warranty. works everytime to be put on the Do not call list. lol

As stated before, it’s a legitimate Jeep phone number. That was jeep and not a scam.

Yes, the Jeep Team is calling owners that have previously reported steering concerns as described in TSB 08-074-20. As @fat_head and @DavidArmen have previously mentioned, the call back number is the Jeep Customer Care phone number. If you would like additional support with having the TSB completed, please feel free to send us a PM.
