Crunched the numbers a little more after dealer responded with price I could buy the XR392 for...

$80,000 Vroom offer for my 392
$75,132 Price of XR392
$394.00 Doc Fee
$6010.56 sales tax
$301 title and License

Looks like it will cost me $1839.00 to move into an XR392 equipped the exact same was my 392 is equipped.

I would have to have the XR tinted...so around $600 or so there. So lets call it $2500 to move to a XR. Plus some expense of getting to dealer and driving it home. Lets say $150 flight there and estimate $250-300 in fuel for the return trip. So more like $3k total. Estimates to regear the 392 are in the $2500 range in my area.

Decisions decisions...

As soon as I found out that the 392XR was available I jumped right on it. Don`t get me wrong I love my 392 but is not geared for me. My Rubicon had 4:10`s and it made a huge difference compared to my last Jeep with 3:73`s in it. Like I mentioned in another post I wish that they had different drive modes to choose from, That was one of the fun things about owning a Raptor, you could change the drive modes which changed the shift points and you could also change the steering feedback from 3 modes, none were wandering like my old Jeep.

Here is a picture of a Rubicon XR I could not get any closer because they were right there to pick it up so I could not snoop around. I wish able to get a closer look at it, even just to see what shocks they have on it or will they be from a different manufacture than the 392 XR gets?

I already had 4.56 gears installed with the Mopar brake controler and the speed limit is not been an issue. I towed my 20' Geo pro trailer fully loaded with NO issues ( installed overload airbags in the rear springs) 35" tires feel like the 33" even when towing. I would not sell this baby!

Vroom offered mine with 9500 miles for $77,000. MSRP was $76,780.

I have way too much tied up in mine to upgrade. Sure the $$$ are great on the used ones. Only problem is replacing it. Not going to find one at a dealer for MSRP. And I am not going to wait to order one. Too impatient.

I would have taken the XR all day long if it had been an option when I purchased mine.

^^This is what gives me pause. When will it show up? Will it be missing components it should have? I am seeing stories where this occurs on the Ram forums already. The snowmobile I snow checked last spring may never show, same with my riding buddies snow check sled.

So I am a little concerned with letting my 392 go and then having extreme delays with the XR or component changes/restrictions after the order is in.

Can you put a $1K deposit on the XR order then once in sell your current 392?

BTW black lugs nuts sure would finish off those wheels nicely!
Good idea and I thought that but not sure how the black would look with the bronze wheel. Maybe bronze lugs? But gea on the short list!

Prob could. Just rolling the dice on if/when the bubble bursts on the insane current used vehicle values.

Better than chrome for sure. I grabbed the gorilla splined lugs. Their finish is the best…I’ve tried several others and the gorilla are worth the premium price, and I will remove these if/when I sell this Jeep to vroom

I hate this thread cause it reminds me my 392 isn't the fastest Wrangler ever built. If I could come close to break-even I would sell for a new XR, but I had a clear bra put on, and that plus taxes is probably too much to recover.

But I like the thought of starting with the regearing for$2500.
