I was wondering if anyone with a 18 or 19 2.0 and driven a 2020 2.0. Wondering how it feels with the change in 2020.

I don't own either...yet. I test drove a 2019 and loved it; read that night on the forums about the changes to the 20. i went back to the dealer the next day to drive a 20 they had on the lot. Honestly couldn't tell a difference; they both felt much better than the 3.6. If you would have told me 2 weeks ago that I would buy a Turbo 4 cylinder engine I would have told you no way. I can honestly say that after driving the 2020 4 cylinder I got back in my Grand Cherokee with a 5.7 Hemi and came home- I swear the Turbo 4 felt lighter and more powerful from a takeoff. I placed a deposit on my 2020 4 Cylinder Rubicon a few days ago.

I've never driven an 18 or 19, but I picked up my 2020 2.0 on Saturday, and I already have almost 1200 miles on it. It's a lot of fun. I drove my girlfriend's 2019 Honda Pilot with a V6 a lot before, and this 2.0 has way more get up and go and is a lot more fun to drive. I drive a lot of vehicles, and I even have a lot of time on the Honda Civic Type R (2.0 liter turbo). This Jeep 2.0 doesn't have any real noticeable lag. It really "s#its and gits."

Darn,

I thought you would say it was night and day difference, and I should go out and upgrade.

I have driven both ( a '19 & '20) from two different dealerships - one in Colorado and one in Virginia. At altitude and at sea level so to speak.

In both cases there was no noticeable difference between the one with eTorque and the one without... At least in my opinion.

We couldn't tell any noticable difference either. We test drove a 19 but couldn't find one anywhere meeting our requirements. So we ordered a 20. At the time, we were told there was no difference and we can't tell any. Even without the BSG.

Not any noticeable difference. It does not have that push the BSG had when you start from the a stationary position but once in motion, no difference.
The ESS is like the 3.6L - it was very silent in the one with the BSG motor. The 2020 also runs a little hotter - about 10℉ more once it warmed up.

For all those with 2020's.

Any wandering on speeds above 60mph on highway?

Any steering issues?

Nope. I don't even realize I am on 75mph till I look at the speedometer. ;)

ya a jeep doesn't drive like a BMW, but they are quicker than people think... anticipate 0-60 mph 6.8 | Quarter mile 15.2

I agreed, but I test drove a 2018 Sahara, and that thing wanders like it’s no ones business at speeds about 60mph.

Whereas a BMW, I can drive with my knees ‍♂ And stay straight lol.

It should drive straight, my JK i can take my hands off the wheel for a block and it just chugs along.. that is a RECALL issue they have on the new JL model.. not all of them exhibit that wander.. it's not an easy fix either, so avoid buying vehicles with that issue

I’m coming g from a bmw suv, think I’ll notice a huge difference?
Yeah, you will see a difference - an X3 or X5 are built for a different driving environment than a Wrangler. A Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude v6 or a Trailhawk will be more comparable to a BMW SUV.

I assume I’ll need to take this on the highway before buying
