Anyone considering trading their JL for a JT Gladiator?

I'd be in the same boat if I didn't already have a truck

Plan on a 2dr Rubi next year

If I couldn't have a Jeep, this is the way I would go.

Agreed, a Tacoma Double Cab 4x4 with a comparable MSRP to a base Sport Gladiator is not going to come close to the off-road capability.

Taco OR would be $36k with stick and bare bones, which includes Navi and wireless charging

If I didn't need to tow a bobcat, I'd be between the Gladiator and Taco

When I was doing my shopping I couldn't find any TRD Pros in my price range. Plenty of Wranglers in JKU and JLU fit the bill pretty well though.

Love my Rebel, already did rsb and endlinks

Now so save up for the throttle body to go w/the CAI
I test drove a Rebel with the ETorque Hemi. Loved how it rode but it was during a traffic jam so I didn't see anything higher than 14 MPG... would have been nice to see what it could actually do on the open road.

I owned it since January, highest I've gotten was 13.7 with my regular 5.7

Hear the CAI will push me over 14

I'm also Italian with a lead foot
lol, well that can account for your numbers allright. On the open Highway I could take advantage of the MDS and get 21-22 but around town it would drink. Also when I would get a hankering for some tire shredding that would use a lot of gas too, lol.

I briefly thought about it due to the flat bed that i'd have casual use for (mainly yard work), but just didn't do it for me overall and decided to go with the JLUR. Saw a Rubi one over the weekend and looked nice, but just wish they had gone with a different front, for originality, instead of re-using the JL one.

Personally I’m not a big fan of the Gladiator though admittedly I haven’t seen one in person. I’m all for a pick up with Wrangler attributes, but I think we got a Wrangler with some pick up attributes. There’s a big difference between the two IMO. I’d be more content with the Gladiator if it didn’t share so much with the JLU. The rear doors on there are hideous.

It's more than just the front end, its everything forward of the C-pillar

But hey, the grill inserts are different, lol.

It's obvious that Jeep went cheap on the body by utilizing a lot of the already existing JL panels and design. I compare it to the old El Camino concept. A truck that looked like a car that sold well but in trying too hard it became a weird concept all around.
