I'm looking at a Rubicon on a Toyota lot in Brookfield, WI. I don't want to waste my time flying out to check it out so that's where you come in. If you have some free time and want to make $100 bucks and wouldn't mind checking out a Jeep for me let's talk.

NO KAREN'S.

You'll need to be able to drive an auto.
You'll need to wear some form of pant.
YOU MUST NOT STINK!

Send me a PM or call the shop line.

Thanks,
Andy

A JL? Make sure its not a shitbox?
Yes. JLUR. Drive it. Make sure it isn't clunking all over the place. Look under it and see if it's been wheeled. Rust. Paint scratches or dented body panels. That sort of stuff.

I can get there either thursday or friday. Im 30 miles away, so if you find someone sooner, thats fine. Otherwise let me know if you want me to go and which dealer.

I'm very fluent in sarcasm. It's actually my first language. But not sure if serious though.

Sorry if it came off like that, I legitimately think it’s a great idea. It’s a win/win and a unique solution to the problem

The Jeep family has been great to me for 20 years. Who better to send into the Toyota lions den to fight for what's right?

When I buy a used vehicle that is far away, I ask the dealer to provide me with a written, detailed “walk-around report.” They are usually good about it. I find dealers are generally upfront when you ask for things in writing.

One time, when I ask for a walk-around report, the salesgirl emails me back a one-liner: “It looks great!”

My response was: “That’s great, dear. But the fact is I am 2,500 miles away and I cannot check the car as I normally would. I am interested in it, so I need you to be my eyes and ears on the ground and give me a detailed report. I need to know every little scratch on the paint and chip on the glass, so that there are no surprises.”

That did the trick. She went back out with her phone, took several fotos of the car; she even zoomed onto a couple of small scratches on the paint and added a brief description.

The car had only 6,000 miles, a clean record, looked great on the dealer photos, and was still under warranty. So I bought it.

The car arrived in exactly in the condition she had described.

How do you get pics of DW?
I don’t think I’d buy a modified vehicle, any vehicle, without seeing it and driving it myself first.
