Are aftermarket lockers available for the new axles yet?

I am still waiting for Eaton to develop a TrueTrac for the new D44 on my Sahara.

I have not added a locker. I'm getting ready to regear, I already have OBA, so if I ever want to add an air locker, now is the time. I'm mulling it over. I'm curious what you are thinking, since you are wrestling with the same question right now.

🤔 Wouldn't it be nice if Jeep offers a rear Locker for the Willys from the factory under warranty with better gearing? I'm hoping so soon. 🙏

I was just thinking about adding a rear locker to my Sport. I don’t rock crawl so I don’t need a Rubicon and I’m only running 35 inch tires. A rear locker would be helpful.

You dont really need one based on what you just said.

Just because I don’t rock crawl doesn’t mean that I couldn’t use a rear locker. Every four wheel drive vehicle could benefit from just a rear locker. I just don’t need the extra expense of a Rubicon for what I use my Jeep for.

I’m looking for advice on adding a rear locker to my Sport, not just someone’s opinion of driving style or driving situations.

add it then. It is gonna $1500~1800 for an electronic eaton locker. thats the quote I got. if you dont rock crawl you dont need it and your LSD is pretty good. but it is your jeep and money, if you wanna carry a rear locker thats your choice. Itll void the warranty of your rear axle if you care about it.

It is not an opinion. It is my advice. i take my jeep offroad and know its limits and capabilities.

Mine didn’t come with limited slip, I just have to count on the brake lock differential.

So it is a sport then and not a willys. If it is a willys it must have the LSD.

an Eaton detroit truetrac, which would be about $1000 parts and labor might work better for your case and will be less hard on the axle if you dont have the dana 44 rear. although a locker would be fine toom

ARB makes Air Lockers for the M186 (30), m200 and m220. They are much easier to unlock than a Rubi locker (or Eaton) and you you can engage at any speed.
