Anyone actually had 6qts of oil put in their Jeep - Drive unknowing and had an issue?

I see so many posts about dealers putting too much oil into Jeeps when the oil is changed...

So has anyone here ever had too much oil in their Jeep, and it caused a problem?

I'll admit my searching skill is horrible...

I can only find threads where people's oil is overfilled, and they see that and have it rectified.

I can't find any threads about someone developing engine problems that were then diagnosed later as being the result of too much oil...

Dodge engineers build the motors to be able to run a quart high or a quart low. Obviously Its better to stick to spec, but if It happens just correct and dont sweat.

I would venture to guess there are MANY JL’s running around with too much oil! With the number of documented cases here think how many JL drivers never open their hood. To them it’s just a car!

Yes, had it happen on my first oil change. Caught it right away and had them adjust it. No issues.

My 3.6 was overfilled twice. Probably ran for around 2000 mi total overfilled. I had a sensor on the top front of each valve cover that was leaking oil. Not sure if this was related to overfilling or not. For what it's worth I was given a rentel jl with the 3.6 and the same sensors were leaking.
