Concept came out back in Apr/May and haven't heard much in four or five months. Suspect it will be hush hush until late this year?

Strongly considering a trade in for 392, but would hate to order and have a 20th edition come to market shortly after...

Especially if it’s a 392 on 37’s. I keep hoping, but not holding my breath.

Bronco Raptor runs on 37" tires. And I wouldn't be surprised if the new Raptor R eventually is a trim w the Bronco. I don't think it is as far out as we think.....unless they are holding out for the Huricane engine...

Well, I think Jeep will have to respond to the Bronco Raptor, now that (today) the press embargo for Bronco Raptor reviews was lifted and the reviews from the press are glowing. Calling the Bronco Raptor the most capable off-road vehicle ever built.....

Jeep, your move!

Does it have the front suspension travel to outflex a Rubicon?

It completely outflexes the Rubicon XR, which aparently only has 1" of up-travel. The Bronco has 13" front, 14" rear travel. That is a lot.

In any event, it is irrelevant what you think, or even reality, the press has spoken and crowned the Bronco as the new king, the new top do, the new boss.

Jeep can either come up with some thing with factory 37s, Dana 50 axles and proper shocks or be left behind as Ford gets in gear and starts delivering these things.

Car and Trend is not exactly my go-to source for off-road news.

Did they finally learn how to engage 4-Lo...?
LOL.

You do know that MotorTrend owns FourWheeler Magazine, and the review above is x-linked to FourWheeler, right?

In any event, the reviews are everywhere. Feel free to go to your "go-to-sources", they are all saying the same thing. I hope it does not trigger you too much.

Not sure why some people feel so threatened by positive Bronco reviews. The Bronco is the best thing that ever happened to the JL. That is the only reason the 392 and XR exist. Now lets incent Jeep to respond to the Raptor, instead of pretending the Raptor is not good. There is no way to win that.

I’m not triggered. At least not to the extent that Broncos seem to give you a hardon.

Ford sucks. Period. Even if Jeep stopped making Wranglers tomorrow I still wouldn’t touch a Bronco.

Anyway, I come on here to read about Jeeps, not Fords. If I gave a hoot about Ford’s I’d be on a different forum.

I love my Jeep, let's get that straight. But FCA sucks as bad if not worse than Ford. This is the first $50k new vehicle I've owned and has more problems than any of my past vehicles - poor clutch design, electrical gremlins, bubbling paint, steer box, etc. It's the personality and capability - despite its flaws - that make me smile every time I drive it. That said, my 90's Ford Escort ZX2 had FAR less issues. In fact zero issues. However, it didn't do anything special other than get from A to B.

Back to the topic. FCA will respond to the Raptor. They've done a countermove each step w Ford.

Get defensive much? I'm asking that because the Bronco Sasquatch with disconnected swaybar does not have the flex of a standard Rubicon while disconnected... For the Raptor to truly dethrone the Wrangler (In my eyes at least) Its gotta outflex the Wrangler.

The Bronco Raptor has some cool upgrades for sure.

But as far as Ford getting them to customers in a timely fashion?

Exactly why the Bronco is important for me. I have no interest in buying a Bronco, mostly because I belong to an awesome Jeep club, and find the Wrangler very easy to work on and modify.

I do hope that the Bronco continues to be a success, because that is the only way Stelantis/Jeep are going to give us better Wrangler options (like the 392 and XR, as rushed as they were).

I do hope that the response to the Bronco Raptor is well engineered and not a half-assed rushed "check-the-box" response.

I think hopefully we’ll hear something as we approaching the closing of third quarters or the fall, as 2023 models have started production so hopefully jeep will move forward on introducing possibly future plans and models updates going into the new year, I’m surprised that there has been no leaks or any media articles etc with some sort of information, if not in detail but at least some sort of time and speculations of what is in the works

so...back to the title of this thread - any idea's when details on a 20th anniversary Rubicon will be released?

Ah...Antonio, we posted and nearly the same time. I am thinking of a '23 XR, but want to see what a 20th anniversary might have to offer as well. Hopefully some news will come soon!
