Hey Sport/S owners - have you removed those 2 "air dams" or "splash guard" huge plastic pieces the sit between the front bumper and fenders? And/or did you also remove the lower air dam below the bumper? I don't like the looks of the fender ones and I'm afraid all I'm going to end up breaking that lower air dam when off-roading anyhow.

Would like to see pics if possible. I watched a video on it but they had it on a lift with the wheels off so couldn't get a good feel for how it would look in the end. Also - would that void the warranty in any way?? I would hate to give the dealer any excuse to get out something potentially needing warranty coverage. Albeit they could easily be put back on.

And yes - did a full search first and didn't find anything. Thanks!

@Firecracker18; here are some pics of mine after I trimmed the “euro-bumper” pieces.

I’ve put some work into mine but I removed those pieces before I even put my lift on. I took them off and then also decided to swap out the front bumper for a Sahara one. Personally I feel like those pieces made the sport look awful

I cut mine. Came out like crap, but I plan to buy new bumper for Xmas.

I left all my stuff on because it does aid fuel economy and in the case of the air dam below the front bumper it also directs road salt and crap away from vital axle components. However if you've got a 7 mm socket and an 8 mm socket and a trim tool you can take all that stuff off in 15 minutes.

Took me longer than you’d think, those bolts are looooong and some were a PITA. Not a big deal, just more annoying than I thought.

I took mine off today but didn’t like the exposed wires so I trimmed the plastic and screwed it back on so it covered the back again.
I like this workaround!

I personally don’t mind them on. I really don’t see what the big deal is with leaving them on, even looks wise..

At any rate, what’s mainly kept me from removing them was the exposed wiring.

If/when I remove them I’ll be doing what you did now.

Thanks for posting bud!

I took mine off and trimmed them a week after getting the jeep, looks so much better. However just be careful. I slipped, stabbed my self with a utility knife and ended up with 5 stitches.

Still happy I did it though :)
