To me, that color is forever tied to the 'Islander' edition of the YJ. Would love to see someone give their bikini JL the islander treatment.

I had a 17 JKU Firecracker Red, beautiful but in 2 years received about 3 compliments from strangers.Traded in July 2019 for a Bikini JLU (main reason Sky One Touch). It’s only been 5 months but I’ve gotten easily 20 compliments from crossing guards to people just driving up next to me. I only see a few here in NYC so it’s still kind of unique.

Looks like you aren't the only one! I found this gem today and made a side-by-side photo.
If I were ordering a JL I'd be going for this. Hell, I'd even pay to have someone make the graphics to match the original islander vinyl.

I know this is an old thread, but I feel the OP's pain. I had a hard time deciding on color. Generally I like silver. But now every time I see sting grey or the darker blue I get envious ;-). But then I see my billet silver and the envy goes away for a while. Regardless I like the wrangler in pretty much all the JL colors I've seen.
Except one JK that was completely white-out. White fenders, white bumpers, white hard top, white wheels. Yak!
