Hello,

Just purchased new wheels and tires for my 2021 Rubicon Unlimited. I'd like to keep the stock wheels and tires as is (not take them apart).
I called Discount Tire and they indicated that their sensors are hit or miss if they will work (seems odd, but OK).

Any recommended TPMS sensors that will work out of the box without requiring the dealership to program/calibrate?

Thanks :)

Thank you for checking with us for the TPMS sensors for your 2021 JLR.

Unfortunately if your build date is 6/7/2021 or later, we do not have a compatible TPMS sensor. Currently, OE TPMS sensors need to be calibrated by the dealership, or more specifically, if the spare sensor is replaced, it must be programmed by the dealership.

You can check Quadratec or another vendor to see if they have the sensors in stock. Be sure to make sure you order the correct sensors since they changed them for builds after June 2021.

I got the wrong ones for my Jeep and eventually just went to the Jeep dealer and bought them. They were more expensive than Quadratec, but Quadratec was out of stock for months.

There is no programming or calibration by a dealer needed if you buy the correct TPMS. Make sure you know your build date or better yet call the dealer parts dept, give them your VIN, ask them for the OE part #. With that you can be 100% certain you are getting the correct TPMS.

You can get them here. www.tpmsbargains.com. Use "5%off" for discount.

This is just simply not true. If you don't know the answer, please don't share disinformation.

This is correct. The owner's manual discusses swapping the spare & the TPMS system will pick up the new tire/sensor after driving around for about 20 min at speeds over 15 mph. Almost all new vehicles have self-calibrating TPMS systems.
