Any other JL'ers out there own a Subaru Crosstrek?

I just bought a 2021 Crosstrek Sport (w/ the new 2.5L engine) for just commuting & errands. Now, it's pretty much replacing my JL Rubicon for everything but serious off-roading. Anyone else out there own one?

I had one a few years ago. Base model with the 5 speed manual…got great gas mileage, went anywhere, pretty comfortable…I liked it a lot.

it met its untimely demise in a car accident. We ended up replacing it with an outback - more space!

overall a great car. I am not surprised you like it!

I’ve got a 2018. I like it a lot. It’s getting traded in for the new JLUR though. Thing has held its value like a champ, and with the current used market, I have $15k or so in equity in it after 3 years of use.

Lol, I’m literally replacing my 2013 Crosstrek automatic with 83k miles on it for a 2 door 6 mt Willys. The Subi has been a great family car and very reliable. But my kids are now teens, and it’s daddy’s time to go back to his roots. I sold my TJ after my wife had our first born. I’m back! Can’t wait to pick it up!

I had a ‘17 Impreza, almost the same car. I had it in the dealership 3 times for major power loss and 3 different dealers told me it was normal to go from 5th to 2nd and drop from 75 to 15 to get up a hill on the interstate (hill, not mountain). I called BS and traded it in with 33,000 miles on it. Engine blew 2,000 miles later. I was still getting maintenance alerts. The boxer gets a bad rap, not sure how deserved it is. My BRZ was fine.

My daily driver is a 2017 Crosstrek premium (Desert Khaki). I've had three Subaru's and, with the exception of the head gasket leak in my 2010, all have been very reliable.

Actually it was my 2000 Forester (not 2010) that had the leaky head gasket. At the time around 2006 or 7, the cost was about $1200. The car had 90+K miles on it and Subaru split the cost 50/50.

I had a 2019 Crosstrek. Great car. Great gas mileage. Did great in the snow. Traded it in with 56,000 miles on it and not one problem. Also held its value well.
