A little more - I can’t make it this year but it is always fun - lots of raffle prizes and fun stuff.

Hi everyone, I realize this thread is super old, but I don’t see too many people posting from LA. I have a 2009 JK that’s going to my stepson in two weeks. My 2020 JL is on order and being painted today. My JK was my DD/mall crawler for the past 10 years. I’m soooo beyond ready to upgrade to the JL, and I’m already planing to off-road in my JL when hubs and I visit Big Bend National Park next month.

I live in Slidell but I don’t trust the Jeep dealer here. I had a horrendous first and last experience with the service department there two years ago and refuse to give them my business anymore. Among many other things, the service guy tried to “teach” me how to pull up/use my parking brake. I’ve driven standards as my DD for 15 years, and had been driving that Jeep for 8 years at that point...pretty sure I know how to use a JK parking brake :swear: That was just one tiny issue among waaaay more.

So that said, I’m looking for any recommendations for a good dealer service department in the NOLA or northshore areas that I’ll use while my new JL is under warranty. I’m willing to travel a bit if necessary.

I’m also planning to get paint protection film and ceramic tint shortly after it arrives. Any recommendations for places nearby for that work?

Thanks!

This thread’s a little dusty...

Just got my 20 JL, looking forward to finding some local trails.

Anyone have dealer recommendations in LA willing to deal on a 2021 JLUR order? So far only responses I have received are all out of state. I have no problem shipping on going to pick up but I would love to deal locally.

Bringing this old thread back to life!!
I recently purchased a 2020 2.0 Sport. I've already made a handful of mods just to get away from the stock look.
I'm in the Baton Rouge area, always looking to get it off road.
Years ago, I was part of Louisiana 4x4. Is that around anymore?

Bumping this thread. New Jeeper (as of late February) here in the Baton Rouge area. Any recommendations for beginner friendly off road routes (Old Tunica Road is the only one I know about) would be appreciated.
