I'm planning to meet someone to buy 5 wheels with 35" tires. Looking in the back of the Jeep it seems like they should fit, but I just wanna make sure. The other option is to swap them onto the Jeep and try to fit my stock Rubicon 33's in the back.

The last time I tried this, I couldn’t get them all in unless I took the top off. Even then it wasn’t an ideal situation. You may have a better time with the 33s.

5 definitely won’t fit. I couldn’t even fit 5 of the stock sport tires back there. I ended up using a cargo carrier on my hitch.

Good to know. I think I will start by leaving my spare at home, that way I can just bolt one of the 35's there and only have to fit 4 inside.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
Just air them down, way down :)
And for sure do that if you plan to mount the 35 on the spare tire carrier (if you didn't get a relocation bracket). Since you have a Rubicon the 35 might fit back there, not sure (since I have a Sport)

Like others said I could barely fit 5 of my stock tires/wheels back there. 5 35s wont work.

I put 5 Rubicon takeoff tires in the back of my Sport and drove to the tire shop, wasn't difficult at all. I didn't do any careful arranging, just threw them in. I believe the person that I bought them from had carried the 5 tires plus his mounted 37 in the back of his Rubicon when he drove home from the tire store since the mounted 37 didn't fit on his stock rear tire mount.

I fit my five KM3s on wheels in the rear by laying the rear seat down, rolling four standing up side-by-side, and the fifth stand perpendicular to the other four. Rear door was hard to close but it locked.

I just fit 5 rubicon takeoffs in after swapping out to 35's. 2 stacked behind passenger seat, I standing (leaning) on this in driver 2nd row. the other 2 on edge in back. I dont think I could have fit 35's this way.

That’s not a bad idea for a hardtop, but I have a soft top lol
This might be even better- put the top down and you can stack the tires if necessary.

Well it's currently 34Âș outside and I will have a 4 hour drive home after I pick them up 😂

From what I'm reading, it sounds like 4 tires will fit no problem, and some people have been able to fit all 5. If I remove the spare I can bolt one of the new tires there and the remaining 4 will fit inside.

I’d assume so if you planned correctly. I was able to fit 5 JLUR 33’s in my 2 door so I cant see why you wouldn’t be able to fit 5 35’s in your 4 door. 1 in passenger, 1 or 2 in back seat, 1 on spare carrier, 1 or 2 in trunk.
