Any information on the new Moab special edition?

You can order a Moab right now...2018. its basically a loaded sahara with selec trac and a rubicon hood...and steel feont bumper...and Moab on the hood

It's a pointless edition using sahara models with left over rubicon hoods. The options many people didn't buy on the other models were sort of forced onto this one, I'm guessing to clear some left over inventory. It isn't an aesthetically pleasing wrangler, and the price tag isn't worth it. Oh and it's a 2018, which is why the damn order banks haven't closed. FCA is really unorganized at launching new models.

Get what you like, disregard anyone who pisses on your parade. I’m getting a Rubicon for my own reasons, but the Moab looks strong and is every bit as much a Jeep as every other model. Except that dragon nonsense from several years ago. I can’t defent that thing.

I ordered a Moab on Monday. I took a risk and ordered a 2018 under the assumption that because Jeep released the Moab so late in the model year, it won't be changed for 2019. Except of course that the base price of all Jeeps will jump 2-3% as they do every year, which means $1k+ more for a package like this.

The Moab comes with a body color hard top and the headliner (which muffles noise and claims to have some insulating qualities). I did add a dual top (including a premium black soft top for approx $1k). I think you could get a sky one touch top, which would add around $1700-$2k.

I just tried to order a Moab with added options from my favorite dealer, jim marsh in Vegas. Cannot special order one as all 2018 new orders are stopped. They said 2019 ordering opens up 9/13 and production starts 10/29.

It was also commented that since I want the sky one touch, it was highly unlikely to be able to get a Moab with that top. I’m happy to wait.

No word on the diesel.

I can’t understand how we only had 2 weeks to order a MOAB. It seems as long as 2018’s can be ordered, should be able to order one, with standard equipment, V6 and auto with selec-trac.
