The short is I'm on the Highway 40 miles total everyday. Portions of it are stop and go. Today I heard a bang, felt nothing odd with it. Assumed someone around me had caught a piece of road debris despite it sounding fairly close.

Later on in the drive I shifted into 4th and couldnt accelerate and smelled clutch material. The engine RPMs did not sky rocket and no dash lights. I shifted from 4th to 3rd and floored the pedal, trying to get it to happen again. Nothing. Shift back up to 4th and nothing.

Im taking it to the dealer tomorrow morning.

Its the 6, 1500 miles on the clock. Just got it about 3 weeks ago.

The 24s had the most recent recall done already, right? If my understanding is right they blow the intermediate apart and that cuases issues, right?

Fun ones!
You’re wasting your time taking it to the dealer if you have no dash lights and can’t replicate it.

I get that, I was tech before, I atleast want a complaint on the service recorded if it turns out to be something. I havent had a chance to poke around too much underneath, do these things have an inspection port on the bellhousing?

9k on a 24 6MT. No Issues like that.

Low fluid maybe? 4th not fully engaged? Clutch somehow still slipped?

The 24s were produced with the new clutch parts from the factory, and I have a 2023 with that new clutch, 16k miles on it. Zero issues. But it’s new and under warranty so take it in for sure.

What happened with Manual Transmissions? They are prevalent in much of Europe. The Getrag 238 was a stout trans. Why can't Stelantis get this or a partner that can get it figured out? I know they are reducing numbers, but just seems like this shouldn't be systemic.?
