Word on the street is that the Sport S has the option for the factory LED package for 2020.

Interested in where you got this info. Any other changes due for model year 2020?
There is a new an improved steering box coming out for a recall per a post in one of the steering threads. I confirmed with another resource. This means that the 2020 JLs will have a new steering box.

According to the recall, FCA is only replacing the steering stabilizer. The steering box is unchanged.

There are 2 different recalls. One is out (V41 / steering stabilizer), one isn't out yet (steering box). So the dealership was only able to perform the recall that is currently out. The steering box recall has not been issued yet per previous posts (it is coming soon) - read here - https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...has-play-and-drifts.3691/page-245#post-748140. I also confirmed there is a new steering box coming out soon per a different source.

Check here...

https://www.autobison.com/2019/07/jeep-july-package-updates/

According to that, Sarge will be an available color. Also says the 2.0 Turbo will be WITHOUT eTorque for the Rubi and Sport.
So... the 2.0 turbo w/o e-torque will be the base engine in the Rubi and Sport? Will the 3.6 with e-torque/BSG be an option?

I think the 3.6 with e-torque/BSG could be an amazing option, providing a lot more torque under 1500 rpm.

Hmmm I wonder if Sarge will be the same paint as the 75ths..

Also I wonder why they waited 2 model years to make LEDs optional on the sports S.

FCA likely wanted people to spend more money and upgrade to Sahara and Rubicon trims to get LEDs. There was also a major supply constraint on the LEDs, that's why the halogen to LED replacement kit kept on being delayed and only recently became available.

I heard the 2020s will have turbo boost, warp drive, be fully submersible in water up to 5000 feet deep, and have heated door locks and window control buttons.

As plausible as the rest of this speculative “I have a source who assured me” blather, I reckon.

Well played, Sir. Well played.
