You don’t have to use premium. The engine is smart enough to adapt to what you put in. However as a Porsche owner once said to me, you put dollars in the tank and smiles come out.I got u. It sounded interesting. I started reading the posts. Then I read it takes premium gas. No turbo for me!
More on the 2.0from Drive Magazine below.
“
That familiar 3.6-liter Pentastar engine makes 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque here. But a new 2.0-liter turbo—related to the engine in the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio—becomes the Jeep’s first available four-banger since 2006. The four-cylinder delivers 270 horses and 295-pound feet of torque, the latter peaking at just 3,000 rpm. That's both more-accessible and more overall torque than the V-6, whose lesser 260 pound-feet doesn’t peak until 4,800 rpm.
That torque gets another low-end boost from FCA’s new eTorque mild hybrid system, with its 48-volt battery, start/stop function, and regenerative braking.” http://www.thedrive.com/new-cars/19...ing-a-winter-dip-in-the-renewed-off-road-icon
Looking forward to lots of smiles when mine arrives at the end of the month.
