I drove a Sahara turbo today (my original custom order, which we later changed). It was nice. I took a 5 minute video of audio so you could hear the engine as I was putting it through its paces. I didn't hold back.

I did mention break-in to the dealer and he told me he knows the manual says 300 miles but that they are specifically coached by FCA to tell customers not to do anything for break-in whatsoever... no restrictions. That said, I'll follow the manual when I take delivery of my baby :)

Impressions - it seemed a bit quicker than the 3.6 off the line. Mid-power didn't seem much different to me than the 3.6s I've driven (neither better or worse that I noticed). You can definitely hear the turbo kick in, but it's not anything crazy. Overall, it felt like a mild, noticeable improvement in acceleration and engine sound.

It was not an insane difference - but it's been a little bit since I drove a 3.6 and I'm used to my wife's V8 twin turbo, so I'd love to the 3.6 and 2.0T back to back.

Nothing too crazy here - just me holding my iPhone while I drive around for 5 minutes and 29 seconds.

Well, I'm not sure why your dealer is "lost" on the whereabouts of your original. Just doesn't make since...it didn't vanish into thin air.

Well let's hope the clone can be tracked by your dealer and make it to you FAST!
I thought same thing about dealer

Got my window sticker yesterday, JLUR with hardtop and everything but the Smokers Group. My dealer is optimistic it'll arrive by the 16th. FCA is estimating the 25th. We'll see. Ordered 02/10. I'm hoping!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share all this!!! I love the sound of the engine revving. It definitely has more pep than other Wranglers test-driven.

WiFi isn’t great where I’m at right now so I haven’t watched the longer videos yet, but I’m looking forward to doing so.

Thanks again for spreading some Turbo joy!

Update: just got around to watching the first driving video (I get an error message with the 2nd). So much FUN!!! I’m liking these accelerations. This will make the wait a tad easier. Thank you!

From what I remember where that "tool box thing" my battery was there...I thought? Hmm let me look at my manual! Don't feel like popping the hood lol

Yup, apparently, according to my manual I have the PDC there as well. But when I replaced my air filter a few days ago, with a K&N, I don't remember the PDC being so huge? I don't remember it looking like a Tool kit! But I was a little frustrated with the fact that I needed tools to loosen screws from the doggone Engine air filter box... Since there are no "clips". So, I could've overlooked it altogether. Thanks for catching this! Still looks like a toolbox tho SMH. I was about to get jealous lol...

My original and clone came in the same shipment. Hopefully that happens for you as well so that you can pick the last built one.
