Does ordering the Anti-Spin differential on a JL Sport upgrade the axle to a Dana 44?

I'll be going with the 2.0L turbo and 8spd automatic.

I have a 2021 Sport S 2.0T with the LSD. It comes with the D220 AKA D44

I wish the Rubicons D44 had the anti-spin AND locker ability like my truck.

It’s really the only reason to add the LSD, as the clutches will wear out in short order.

Just checked it this past weekend. Check it every 5k miles when I rotate my tires. Soon as I see it’s shot it’ll be getting replaced under warranty.

Do you have to open up the differential to check or is there a different way? I also have an LSD.

Turn traction control off on a dirt road. Floor it. You should see one track then two and that lets you know it’s working. When I had the stock tires on I would do it on the end of a dirt road onto pavement but I’m not trying that on 35’s. I’ve had my wife floor it while I was standing far enough away as well to make sure the other tire kicked in.

BLD still works with TC off. I have no anti spin / LSD and my jeep will do the same thing.
I have accelerated from a stop with one rear tire on tar, the other on packed snow and ice.
It spins a second and then off you go.
