Anderson plug wiring...

Correct. Unless there is a setting I haven't found (let me know if you learn something), when the 7 pin is plugged into your vehicle the house lights/water are locked out. I assume it's so you don't leave them running while driving for some sort of protection. I do not have an Anderson plug because I have a 392 on order so I can't comment on that aspect. I feel like there should be a setting that would allow that to be changed but I haven't been able to find anything.

Cool, thanks for the heads up. I don't take possession of my X3 until some time in February but I'll certainly look into it when I get it.
