Interstate 70 has been closed around Independence pass due to a wildfire and google maps is sending people on four wheeling trails in the area. So what's the breakover angle of the average Chrysler 300?

Even less on an SRT-8...

Ask me how I know!

Last time I was on Ophir there was a sedan going up. They were out of towners, so it would make sense that they would end up going up that way. I'm sure they had an expensive bill from that rental car company.

I’ll bite. How do you know?
I own a 2006 300C SRT-8. I ripped open the bottom of the front valance on one of those parking lot curbs, simply backing up off of it. The SRT-8 version not only has slightly lower suspension, but also a lower and deepr front factory chin spoiler. I dare you to find one without road rash on that area, simply from going up or down driveways!

I'd take a passenger car over Ophir in decent weather. It's very well graded and maintained during the summer months.
We went in August, the girl drove the car while the guy was walking ahead moving large rocks out if the way. I wouldn't do it. That was 3 years ago.

There were some new water bars just uphill of the town of Ophir ~1 month ago. I remember thinking how most passenger cars would definitely high center. A front-wheel drive cute ute like an Escape or RAV4 oughta be ok, though

Even these "easy" roads can have conditions change considerably from year to year, whether it's from intentional maintenance or the lack thereof....but I'd never personally risk a car simply 'cause 2" can be all the difference between making it or being stuck, and 2" comes and goes up there like the wind.

Aw my favorite car (that isn't a jeep) :D

lol I wouldn't take one off road. It's like the worst possible sedan made in the last 20 years for that. It has a 120" wheelbase and sits like 5" off the ground.

The newer ones (2011+) sit a bit higher (and aren't as pretty). Still love them though.
