Does anyone have a Rubicon with the AAL Quick release inner fenders using there stock inner fender cut down? I’m extremely interested in these, but would like to see if they work with the factory inner fender cut down to fit. Also, in the picture on the website it looks like one of the mounting brackets runs the regular fender between it and the body. Thanks for the help.

They will work. Seen several that have installed the light kit and not split the fenders.

Do the stock fenders still suck on the 2020s and 2021s? As in fall down, rub on the wheels, etc. Or was that fixed?

First I've heard of it. Link?
I’ve had no issues with my stick fender or inner fender. I mean, they aren’t great, but the do the job. For extreme off road, they need to be changed.

They do rub on full flex with other tires. I never had them rub when I was stock though. I really want the AAL quick release. I saw them in pigeon Forge.

I am confused by what you mean by running the AAL inner fender AND the stock inner fender. The AAL will replace the stock one and not sure what you mean by using them together?

The AAL fender only goes up to so far. You have to cut the factory inner fender to just under the stock fender. Keeps the mud out of it.

Seems like you just use the AAL inner fender. Same with the Artec ones I bought, should be fine even with mud

I did the AAL highline leds, front and rear inner fenders, and retention hardware all around. Great parts!

Looks good, I have the AAL lights and got artec inner liners. I should have done the AAL liners because they can pre cut for the falcon shocks and the install is nicer.

Thanks. I believe AAL was the first company to offer liners designed specifically for chopped factory fenders.

Just be aware that if you go to a big enough tire and have to start trimming in the rear... they won’t work. The mounting bracket will still mount but since the the bracket is following the original body line it be rubbing on it.

I learned the hard way and am now trying to sell both the front and the rear set. I switched to Nemesis.

I’ve wondered about that. What lift kit and how many inches, and what tire size?

Im running the 3.5 MetalCloak GameChanger with 1” spacers on 40” Nitto’s. Had to add the spacers when I went to the UD 60’s. They use a JK spring seat which is an inch lower that the JL so I lost an inch. Hopefully MetalCloak will release their 4.5” spring soon.
